Tết flowers delivered in Vietnam
Tết is Vietnam’s Lunar New Year and the one week when every family in the country buys flowers. If your partner, in-laws or friends are in Vietnam, flowers arriving before Tết say more than any gift sent later. Flosa arranges and delivers in Vietnam; you pay by card or PayPal from wherever you are and get a photo of the real flowers before delivery.
When Tết falls (2027)
- Kitchen Gods’ Day (23rd of the last lunar month): Sat, 30 Jan 2027. Families clean the altar and start buying flowers.
- New Year’s Eve: Fri, 5 Feb 2027 · Tết, day 1: Sat, 6 Feb 2027 · Day 3: Mon, 8 Feb 2027.
- Full moon of the first month: Sat, 20 Feb 2027. The first big altar day of the year.
The week before Tết is the busiest of the year for every florist: good stems sell out early, prices follow the wholesale market, and most shops close from New Year’s Eve until day 3 or 4. We publish our Tết cut-off and delivery calendar on the homepage each January. Ordering early is how you get the design you want on the day you want.
What Vietnamese families expect
- Parents and in-laws: a potted phalaenopsis orchid is the status gift of Tết, it lasts about two months, from before Tết to past the first full moon. Yellow and pink are the lucky colours.
- The family altar: a five-fruit basket or altar flowers (yellow chrysanthemum, gladiolus, tuberose), delivered before New Year’s Eve for the year-end offering.
- Your partner: a fresh bouquet on day 1–3 with a handwritten card; roses, tulips and peonies are the spring favourites.
- A business partner in Vietnam: a congratulation stand with your company name on the ribbon, delivered on their reopening day (usually day 6–10).
Avoid all-white arrangements for Tết: white is the funeral colour in Vietnam. Red, yellow and gold are what people want to see on the first days of the year.
Ordering from abroad
- Choose the flowers and write your message in any language. Our staff copy it by hand onto the card; Vietnamese greetings are fine too, we check the spelling.
- Enter the recipient’s address in Vietnam (province, street, phone). Delivery dates and time slots are Vietnam time (GMT+7).
- Pay by Visa, Mastercard or JCB, or PayPal when ordering from outside Vietnam. If a card is declined we email you a PayPal link.
- You get a photo of the real arrangement before delivery, and another when it has been handed over.
Ho Chi Minh City is delivered by our own drivers; Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho, Nha Trang and other provinces through long-standing partner florists, so order a day ahead. Addresses without a fixed delivery fee are quoted after we confirm the order. Full details: send flowers to Vietnam.
