Terminals and what is new

  • International arrivals come out at the international terminal; domestic flights leave from T1 and T3.
  • A new road link to T3 (Tran Quoc Hoan – Cong Hoa) opened in April 2025 and eased traffic at the airport gate, but jams still build around Truong Son and Lang Cha Ca roundabout at rush hour.
  • Busiest weeks: the summer holidays (June to mid-August), Tet (Lunar New Year) and long public-holiday weekends. For departures the airport asks international passengers to arrive 3 hours early.
  • The website tansonnhatairport.vn states on its own pages that it is not the airport's official site.

From the airport to the city

  • Ride-hailing licensed by the airport: Grab, Be and Xanh SM.
  • Licensed taxis: Vinasun, Mai Linh, G7, Phu Thanh, Hai Van, Sai Gon SGN, Taxi Viet Nam and Xanh SM. Use the official taxi queues rather than drivers who approach you inside.
  • Bus 109 runs from the international terminal to Ben Thanh (District 1).
  • District 1 is about 7–8 km away; a car usually costs VND 130,000–200,000, depending on the app or taxi.
