Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) is run by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). International flights use Terminal 2 (T2), expanded on 19 December 2025 to 15 million passengers a year; domestic flights use T1.

Terminals and what is new

  • International arrivals come out at T2; domestic flights use T1.
  • Since 3 August 2026 a new traffic plan applies at both terminals: pickup points moved and cars may stop for at most 5 minutes.
  • Also since 3 August 2026, T2 has a separate immigration lane for Vietnamese citizens; foreign visitors use the other counters.

From the airport to the city

  • At T2: taxis pick up at lane 4; ride-hailing (Grab and others) at car parks P1/P7; private cars wait at P3 and then pull into lane 1.
  • Contract cars wait at the east end of floor 1 of T2.
  • Bus 86 runs to Hanoi Railway Station (about VND 45,000).
  • The Old Quarter around Hoan Kiem Lake is about 27–30 km away via Vo Nguyen Giap road and Nhat Tan bridge.
