Često postavljana pitanja
What flowers should be used for a death anniversary?
The offering tray for a death anniversary usually uses yellow chrysanthemums, white chrysanthemums, lilies, and gladiolus — solemn and pure. It is advisable to prioritize subtle yellow and white tones that suit the ancestor's altar, avoiding overly vibrant flowers.
Should flowers on the death anniversary altar be arranged in odd or even numbers?
According to folk beliefs (varying by region and family), altar flowers are often arranged in odd numbers like 1, 3, or 5 stems because odd numbers symbolize the yang, growth, and reproduction. This is a customary practice and not mandatory.
How many days do offering flowers last?
Fresh flowers arranged in a vase on the altar, with water changed and stems cut daily, typically last 4–6 days; chrysanthemums and gladiolus last longer than roses. In Ho Chi Minh City, due to the heat, place them in a ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight to keep the flowers fresh longer.
What flowers should be avoided on the altar during memorial days?
Many families avoid wilted flowers and artificial flowers on the altar, and in some places, they avoid lilies due to the name suggesting 'separation'. It is advisable to choose fresh flowers with a light fragrance, offered with a sincere heart.
Does Flosa deliver offering flowers to the location?
Yes. Flosa delivers offering flowers within the inner city of Ho Chi Minh City in about 2 hours and sends real photos before delivery. Orders need to be placed 1 day in advance to ensure timely delivery for the memorial.
